Fireworks are synonymous with our celebration of Independence Day. Yet, the thrill of fireworks can also bring pain. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, over 230 people on average go the emergency room every day with fireworks-related injuries in the month around the July 4th holiday.

The Lebanon Fire Department would like to remind all residents and visitors that, per City of Lebanon Code Section 72-22, the display, sale, and discharge of Class 1.4G fireworks within the City of Lebanon, New Hampshire is strictly prohibited.

1.4G Fireworks are consumer fireworks and include any type of Firecracker, Bottle Rocket, Missile, Sky Rocket, hand-held fountains and any device that produces solely smoke.
